RifeOS ("the app", "we", "us") is a frequency generator and audio tone application for Android and the web. This policy explains what information the app handles. We have built RifeOS to work primarily offline and to keep your data on your own device.
Your settings, preferences, and premium-unlock status are stored locally on your device (for example in the app’s local storage). This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. Uninstalling the app removes it.
On Google Play, the optional one-time premium unlock is processed by Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google, we never see or store your card or payment details. We receive only a confirmation of purchase to unlock premium features. Google’s handling of that transaction is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
RifeOS includes an optional protocol generator that you can use with your own Groq API key. If you choose to use it, your key is stored locally on your device, and requests are sent directly to Groq under your own key. We do not store, transmit, or have access to your key or those requests. Use of that provider is subject to the provider’s own privacy policy.
The web (PWA) and directly-downloaded (sideloaded) versions of RifeOS unlock premium features with a license key. When a key is entered, the key string is sent to our validation service solely to confirm it is valid. This does not include your name, email, or any other personal information. (The Google Play version uses Google Play Billing instead and does not use this.)
RifeOS is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
